Highlights of Malta Guided Group Tour

The guides will meet us at Hard Rock Café. Please board your bus, according to the group. Please be prompt, both at
the beginning and at each stop during the trip, as we will leave promptly and you’ll want as much time as possible for all the sites/sights. The
first row of seats will be designated for people with mobility issues.
We are only going to collect the admission as a group for St John's Co-Cathedral
in advance, so costs will be $40.00 per person for the trip and admission.
Admission comes with a free audio guide for the Cathedral. The guide will
explain what to look for and see outside of the Cathedral and will not accompany
the group inside. It is a working house of worship and proper attire is
requested. IF you elect to not prepay this admission fee, you will need to
contact us by email for price adjustment. If you change your mind, you will be
directed to the lines/queues for independent purchase.
- Depart from Hard Rock Café Meeting Point
- Walking tour of the old capital city, Mdina
- Drive to the Blue Grotto, passing by the Hagar Qim temples.
(15 minutes stop for an explanation & photos. (time constraints PLUS there is a
10E pp admission to the inside of the area. Stop will be extended for self-pay
admission in the even that weather prevents boat trips at Blue Grotto).
- Free time at leisure at the Blue Grotto* for optional boat trip
(8E), souvenir shopping [not everyone can board the boats instantly! In the
event of inclement weather, this stop will be shortened to allow for more time
to visit Hagar Qim]
- Free time at Marsaxlokk for the fishing village, lunch and free
time
- Photo stop at Vittoriosa marina
- Walking tour of Valletta historic centre, St John’s Cathedral
and free time for optional visit of Grand Masters Palace**.
The city centre is within walking distance from cruise just in case some people
wish to leave at this point, or remain for some more time in the city
centre/Grand Master’s Palace/Shopping on their own. This is downhill, but allow
about ½ hour to return to the ship.
*Blue Grotto – small boat trip is optional, weather permitting. The cost is
8Euros, to be paid directly to the boat operator. Please have exact change. In
the event of inclement weather, it will be a short photo stop at the Blue
Grotto, and the time at Hagar Qim will be extended to allow for the optional
self-paid admission to the temple site and visitor center (10Euros).
**Grand Master's Palace Malta admission is considered Optional. The admission
fee is 12Euros (if all areas are open) and an audio guide (additional 7 Euros)
is available for a self-guided tour inside. Your guide will provide you with
information outside, included in the regular tour if you choose admission here
and the guide will accompany the group inside. We are not going to collect the
admission fee for this because (1) it closes at short notice (2) it closes for
official state functions (3) it may be only partially open due to scheduled
events. There are 5 staterooms which can be visited plus an Armory. Sometimes
due to state visits or presidential commitments, one or two rooms only are
opened or perhaps just the Armory. Reduced price admission is available in these
circumstances. There is ½ hour of time after the tour ends to extend your time
at the Grand Masters Palace, shopping, or just to return to the ship.

“All Aboard!” should be 4pm with a 5pm sail time.
All times are relative, and traffic may be a factor, given the number of guests
on our ship, and there may be another shis in port also.
